Co-Artistic Director with Claire Heggen of Théâtre du Mouvement from 1975 to 2017
Co-Artistic Director of the Ferme de Trielle (Auvergne) – since its origin in 1974
Was a founding member of the European Mime Federation
Co-founder of Transversales, European Academy of Gesture Arts, Cultural Itinerary of the Council of Europe – 1993
Co-initiator and member of GLAM (Groupe de Liaison des Arts du Mime et du Geste)
He studied mime with Pinok and Matho, then for 4 years in corporeal mime with Étienne Decroux (from 1972 to January 76).
For more than 40 years, he has developed a research and creation work inspired by the fundamental principles of Etienne Decroux’s corporeal mime.
He has been exploring themes specific to the Théâtre du Mouvement company (animality, displacement of masks on the body, human walking, musicality of movement, bodily manifestations of states of thought and emotion) while interacting with other art forms (dance, theatre, music, storytelling, hip-hop, circus), scientific subjects (neurology, psychology, anthropology) and communication disciplines.
Yves Marc has taught in more than 20 countries and given numerous conferences in France and abroad.
