Larry works in the artistic field as actor, director, movement coach, mask-maker, dramaturg, theatre translator, critic, etc and he has been participating in different productions in different countries in Europe, Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong for more than 15 years, and he is also a registered drama therapist (RDT under NADTA). He completed a master degree in Drama Education, and had his full-time professional training in Physical and Devising Theatre (LISPA, Lecoq approach) and Corporeal Mime (International School of Corporeal Mime, Decroux system) in London, and is specialized in mime, movement and mask performance, mask-design and mask-making, besides different applied theatre modalities. He learnt mask design and mask making from various teachers, including Donato Sartori, Matteo Destro and Renzo Sindoca. He is also specialized in Playback Theatre and has completed all four levels of the internationally recognized training, including the Playback Theatre Leadership program, and has more than 10 years of on-going experience. He is also a certified Feldenkrais Method practitioner.
In the arts field, Larry works internationally since 2010. He has been invited to teach physical theatre, mask theater, playback theatre and other modalities of applied theatre in different countries in Europe (Germany, Poland, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, United Kingdom), Russia, Palestine, India, Mainland China, Macau and Taiwan. He was one of the Mime Artist in Residence at the Hong Kong Mime Festival 2009, was selected to be Hong Kong’s youth representative at the 2010 International Drama Education Association World Congress. In 2015, he was invited as one of the guest mime artists in the XV Warsaw International Mime Festival to perform and teach masterclass, and was also invited by the Warsaw Mime Center to teach in the Modern Mime Summer Intensive in 2015 and 2018. He was a member of the education reformation committee of Center for Playback Theatre, US, and has also been practicing different modalities of applied theatre workshops to a wide range of population, and he published papers on Playback Theatre, masks and Drama Therapy.
As an actor, director, movement coach and dramaturg, Larry participated in different professional productions both locally and internationally.
