María del Mar Navarro, graduated from the Jacques Lecoq Theatre School in Paris, where she did her two professional years (1990-92), the third pedagogical year (1993-94), specialising in the pedagogy of the school and the L.E.M. (Laboratory for the study of movement).

She also worked with Etienne Decroux at his school in Boulogne-Billancourt (1981-82), Pierre Byland (Clown), Michel Azama (dramaturgy), Sarah Kane (Chekhov), Kameron Steele (Suzuki) and Mary Overlie (Viewpoints), among others. 

She has taught stage movement and improvisation at the Escuela de Cinematografía de la Comunidad de Madrid and at the Teatro de la Abadía in Madrid. She has also been a guest teacher of gesture at the RESAD (Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Madrid). 

Together with Joaquín Hinojosa, he has translated Jacques Lecoq’s book “The Moving Body” into Spanish. 

Since 1996 she has run her own school in Madrid.
