Arturo Bernal is a teacher in his own school (ESCUELA INTERNACIONAL DE TEATRO ARTURO BERNAL TEATRO FÍSICO, TEATRO GESTUAL, TEATRO DEL MOVIMIENTO Y TEXTO) for 25 years.

He also teaches at universities and in theatre and mime schools in Spain, France, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. He also works as a movement director in theatre, dance and circus for festivals and companies throughout Europe.

His obsession: contemporary physical theatre.

His struggle: to get out of the dogma.

His passion: movement and masks.

His research: a new encounter between today’s audience and the Theatre of Movement.

Arturo Bernal graduated from the International School of Theatre Lassaad in 2001 and now he directs his work and research towards a new physical theatre dear to Pepping Tom, Papadopoulus or Teatro en Vilo o La Panaderia.

Arturo teaches: analysis of movement, silent psychological play, neutral mask, common poetic background, choreography of daily gesture, manipulation of the object, utilitarian mask, larval mask, expressive mask, body mask, action mimodrama, melodrama, tragedy, mystery and contemporary buffoon, cabaret, street theatre, grotesque, great dramatic texts.
